Our Liturgical Year (2010)
Lent begins at midnight Ash Wednesday and ends at the beginning of the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, at which point Triduum begins. Although traditionally considered to be 40 days long, this period of preparation for the celebration of Easter is in fact a little under 44 days long.
